Early 1900's Large Copper 4 Gallon Wine Tankard With Brass Spigot - Maker's Mark - $595 - (Carbondale, CO)

Fantastic looking unusual vintage early 1900's 4 gallon copper tankard with functional brass spigot located below the tankard handle, which might have been used to dispense wine. This is a very large and unique tankard that has a Maker's Mark located in the inside of the spout that is marked with a Crown logo as well as VR 239 LOC. The Crown may signify it is of European origin, but this cannot be confirmed. The front part of the tankard is marked Four Gallon. Wonderful brass soldered dove tailing located under the copper handle and through the attached brass spigot. The tankard retains its original copper patina coloring. Overall great shape, functional brass spigot, a few minor dents located at the widest point on the tankard (see photos). Dimensions: 19" tall, 20.5" wide at spigot, 16.5" in diameter at base. Weight: 14.5 pounds. This great looking copper tankard that can be repurposed as a centerpiece on a table, kitchen counter or top of cabinet decor, dried flowers display, etc...
