This auction is for a wonderful, 1st edition set of Civil War books titled OFFICIAL RECORDS OF THE UNION AND CONFEDERATE NAVIES OF THE WAR OF THE REBELLION. These books date from 1894 through 1901. Vol. 1 dated 1894, Vol 2 dated 1895, Vol 3 dated 1896, vol. 4 dated 1896 ( light staining on front and back cover pages, NOT TITLE PAGE), Vol. 5 dated 1897 ( some color loss to cover), Vol. 6 dated 1897 ( tear 1/3 way up from bottom of front cover page, light staining to cover page), Vol. 7 dated 1898, (some erosion? to front cover pages front and back. Shown in photos also some discoloration to front of book), Vol. 8 dated 1899, Vol 9. Dated 1899 ( light staining and erosion? to cover page), Vol 10 dated 1900 ( light water? staining to corners of first few pages), Vol. 11 dated 1900 ( binding cover distress, mouse?) Vol 12, dated 1901. These books are for the most part in very good condition. Pages crisp and clean, maps intact. I don't think they were opened that much. I have tried to describe flaws as best I can, please see the photos and feel free to ask questions.
