Unusual Antique Kalinga Warriors Head Axe Philippine Sword - $950 - (Dresden, ME)

This is an elegant and very decorative Philippine warrior’s axe. It was collected at the turn of the 20th century. The axe is 24.50” (62.25cm) in length with a 16” (40.50cm) long, razor sharp, polished axe head. This axe head has a finely engraved pattern on the edge of both sides. Most axe heads are plain: I have never seen one with this type of engraving. The handle is wood with a rich, deep patina and an engraved metal collar. This axe is in fine antique condition.
