Conn 8H Professional Tenor Trombone (Abilene) - $575 - (Appling, GA)

Here we have a fine old, Conn 8H, from an early Abilene vintage. The Abilene horns are not as well regarded as the Elkharts, but this one is a fine player, has a great, character Conn 8H sound. With most of its lacquer gone, and evidence of prior bell creases having been rolled out, it will not win any beauty contests. But the slide action is good, and the sound is fantastic. Aside from the missing lacquer and prior dent repair, there is some minor wear on the stockings, and the slide lock is missing. No major dents. This is probably a horn you would put in the "utility" category, but it's still a fine specimen. Comes with a hard-shell Conn case in excellent condition.
