Here's a chance to own a very rare bit of movie memorabilia from (arguably) the most horrifying film of all time! This is an original British theatre poster (or "British quad") from Tobe Hooper's 1974 masterpiece in terror, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, measuring approximately 30" X 40". Spectacular and huge image of Gunnar Hansen as "Leatherface," in the final scene from the film (the "Sunrise Leatherface Ballet"). This same scene is also featured on one of the eight lobby cards in the U.S. ad campaign. In many people's opinion, this poster is superior to the U.S. one sheet. I tend to agree... The film has a Certificate X rating, as most other horror films in England. The poster is folded, as originally issued to U.K. theaters. Amazingly, there are no tack/staple holes or scotch tape from movie house display. Likewise, there are no autographs or signs of normal wear. I doubt that it was ever even displayed during the film's U.K. run, so the condition is VERY GOOD. I have owned this poster since the 80s. It has been stored flat, in a smoke-free environment.
