Antique Wafer Iron Marked C G SE # 40 19" Unusual Divided Pattern Square - $150 - (Bristol, VT)

This old wafering iron came from an auction in Vermont. The auction invoice dates it to the early 19th century. It measures 19" long and weighs 5 pounds, 10 ounces. The outside of one side is marked - G C or possibly G U and SE. The other side is marked - 40. The outside has a decorative design. The inside has 4 divided patterns. There is some rust, some wear, and some discoloration. Any information on the manufacturer would be greatly appreciated.
