A very pretty antique Victorian black enameled oval rose pin. Gold filled. It has a beautiful hand chased rose and leaves design, highlighted by black enamel. An enamel technique known as taille d' epergne enamel. The enamel fills in the lines of the engraved design. It has a simple c - clasp and tube type hinge. All in working order. This pin dates to the 1880s.Measurements: 1 1/8" by 1"Condition:---Some wear to the black enamel. Weight:3.7 grams All jewelry comes gift boxed.
