This is a brand new genuine Troy Bilt Mulching Kit that includes the Gator mulching blades (cross reference to 742-04053B)- (6 point star shaped center hole) for the Troy Bilt Big Red Horse 50" lawn mower. The Gator has a similar hole (guarantee it will work with the 6 point star, it's just a little different because of the patent on the star hole). Most people prefer the Gator because it's a heavier blade (made in the US!!) and has notches on the back to give longer blade life if you have lots of sand/gravel in your yard...they will pass thru the notches and not eat up your blade. There are a lot of gator knockoffs on the market but remember if it doesn't have the Gator head symbol and say OREGON MADE IN THE US on it, then it is NOT a real gator blade and nothing else compares to it!!!
