Vintage Antique Trough Battery Cell Voltaic Pile, Early 1800's - $795 - (Kingsport, TN)

Here is a very rare antique battery that I am sure none of you have ever seen. If you have, drop me a note! It is a Trough Cell. It is basically a Voltaic Pile laid horizontal. It was to prevent leakage and you were able to use more electrolyte. The one metal is zinc, the other copper. You can read more about it here. It talks about the Trough Cell about a third of the way down. There is also a picture on the right side border. The dimensions of the battery are 5 3/4" wide, 3 3/4" deep, and 4" tall. For all you rare battery collectors, don't let this one get away, you will never see one again. If you have any questions, let me know.
