VINTAGE NAVAJO Indian DOLLS by Esther Spencer Pink Velvet, Beads, Native American Classic Navajo Indian Dolls by Native American artisan: Esther Spencer These dolls are an older vintage dolls, but their exact age is unknown to me Adorable handmade soft bodied dolls wearing traditional Navajo clothing The woman wears a dress: a pink velvet blouse and skirt. She also has a petticoat of white cloth. Her feet have sewn on pink felt fabric "boots". The man wears white velvet pants and a pink velvet shirt. He also wear a decorated head band that matches the woman's belt. Both dolls have painted-on faces. Their hair is a very fine black yarn like thread and is a bit rumpled. They have beaded earrings and beaded necklaces and decorations of sewn on sequins with beads. Both dolls are signed on the bottom of the right foot by the artist.
