rare Willcox & Gibbs SEWING MACHINE superb w/ Cast-iron Treadle powered stand - $799 - (Derby, VT)

Here's a very rare little Willcox & Gibbs sewing machine first patented in 1883. Last patent date on this machine is 1893 so I date it to then. Condition is original, AS FOUND and incredible. Machine retains 99% of its original japan black finish with hand painted gold leaf trim and decoration. Complete and fully workable. Comes on its original table/stand with cast iron frame with their logo on both sides and the treadle. Original finish on the iron base. The wood top has lost its veneer surface but that could be easily replaced by a competent woodworker. Includes the wood box cover for the machine and even the round leather belt which drives it. It would be hard to find a better example. Guaranteed to please the new owner or I'll buy it back. Check my Feedback.
