H. Meyer and the date of October 24, 1897 in a wonderful script lettering. Clearly hand made and quite special. Wish it could go to his ancestors, but of course there would be no way to find them since the name is fairly common. Small size, a chip of wood broken off near base, but overall in sweet condition. I've always put little odds and ends inside it as you can see from picture, but of course will ship empty. Around 2.5 inches diamter and high. Wonderful patina and age.
