RARE RONALD REAGAN AUTOGRAPH LETTER EMBOSSED PRESIDENT SEAL WHITE HOUSE ENVELOPE - $4,000 - (Gig Harbor, WA)
During his eight years in office, President Reagan received over 55 million letters. He had a permanent and part time staff off over 500 people to read these letters. Each day, his assistant would pick a few for the President to review and wrote a note to one or two of them. Of the approximate 3500 letters, all that are in the Reagan library, approximately 400 were selected for a book called "From the Desk of President Ronald Reagan." This is an answer to a letter that was replied to by President Reagan and was also selected to be in the book. This letter is written on Presidential stationary with an embossed President seal in a White House envelope. both matted and framed. Also included are copies of what is stored at the Reagan Library including Reagan's handwritten reply and typed copy. Not shown here is the original letter to the President that is also in the Reagan Library. Note the brown ink which was something that Ronald Reagan occasionally used for several of his personal correspondence. This letter has more provenance than any Reagan autograph you will ever find.
