Vintage SINGER FASHION MATE 257 Sewing Machine Heavy Duty Straight and Zig Zag with Foot Pedal and Case This is a vintage Singer Fashion Mate 257 Sewing Machine in good working condition. I tested the machine and everything appears to be working fine. The power cord and foot pedal are both in very good condition. This machine uses a belt which is also in good condition. The Fashion Mate 257 is a heavy duty machine and will do both straight line and zig zag sewing. It also has reverse feed. It will do a good job on both heavy and light weight materials. It is in very good cosmetic condition and I do not see any major scratches or paint loss. This machine is perfect for the home sewer as it sews a nice straight stitch forward and reverse. It comes with the power cord, foot pedal, and working light. The motor runs very quiet and smooth. This is a heavy duty machine weighing 34.34 lbs and measuring 14" Long X 4" Wide.This is a vintage machine from the 60's made from heavy duty steel. It was manufactured in Italy by Singer. Overall, this is a very nice sewing machine in good working condition and would make some a very good machine at an economical price. They don't make them like this anymore. Thank-you.
