As First Lady, Jackie's major project was the restoration of the White House to reflect its historic past and the promotion of its importance to the American public. This is a unique insight to her ambitious project. The yellow Oval Room is an oval room located on the south side of the second floor in the White House. Three large windows on the south side of the room face the South Lawn and The Ellipse. The southwest window has a swing sash door leading to the Truman Balcony. Double doors on the west side of the room, with the US and Presidential flag framing the doors, lead to the President and First Lady's bedrooms, private sitting room and dressing room. This is certainly a desirable letter to have for any serious Kennedy collector.
