Rare Omega WW2 Pilot's Watch c.1939 - Serviced - Running - $1,499 - (Athens, GA)
This classic Omega has just been fully serviced and runs very well. It has its original dial showing discoloration from age and the original blue steel hands which are in excellent condition. The crystal is clear with one minor scratch at the bottom. It is not known if it is original. The watch was issued to British Royal Air Force personnel during the World War II Battle of Britain and later. Research on the different variations of this famous watch shows that the ones without the "Swiss Made" at the bottom of the dial tend to be the older 1939 version issued to the RAF, possibly to Lancaster bomber crews. The case is a magnetic alloy and shows pry marks as evidence of being opened over the years. There are no signs of tarnish or plate wear. All angles of the watch have been represented in the photos. Further photos can be provided as needed. The serial number is unknown. The watch was serviced and returned without that information. This watch will not be shipped to any address outside the continental United States. It will be sold only to buyers with excellent records of purchase and payment through EBay. Immediate payment will be expected following purchase. Bid only within those guidelines please. I have a 100% record and will do what it takes to maintain that status. Please make no effort to purchase outside EBay rules. It will be shipped insured with signature required.
