Pioneer TX-9500 FM Stereo Tuner. The tuner looks very good and shows only moderate general wear. The tuner has had several upgrades and modifications performed on it and sounds better than when sold new. All work was professionally performed. The AM ciruitry was removed so it is FM only. The electrolytic caps have been replaced with new and improved electrolytic caps. Also, film caps have been used throughout the signal path. The power supply has been upgraded with schottky diodes and increased capacitance. The ac power cord has been upgraded to an IEC inlet with internal filtering for use with your favorite power cord. The audio amplifier has been replaced with a new pc board with high-end Burr Brown integrated circuit chips. The front output level control was converted to adjust the RF gain and the record level circuit was removed. Direct coupled output with gold plated RCA output jacks. The tuner works and sounds great. This tuner will make someone a very nice daily user. Buyer pays $30 shipping in CONUS.
