Gostrest Tochmekh (State Trust for Precision Mechanics) signifies a watch assembled from old-stock parts post-Revolution, but before a watchmaking industry was founded in the USSR. ???????? ?????? (Gostrest Tochmekh) can be translated into English as "Precision Mechanics Cooperative". Beautiful Russian military silver pocket watch. My father brought this back from Russia many years ago during his travels. It keeps time very well. Please view the photos where you can see the second keeper is running. chrystal has 2 small chips by the 12 on the inside not very noticable. Please view all the photos as they are description for this pocket watch. It has been used so there are minor scratches and wear on this watch. If you have any questions please ask them,I will do my best to answer them as exactly as I can. I am adding a 13 inch chain to the watch, I think it might be silver plated.
