Technics SL 110A Turntable Infinity Black Widow Tone Arm Shure Sonus SL 1100 - $799 - (East Lansing, MI)

This is the incredible combination of two legendary components -- a Technics SL-110A direct drive turntable with an Infinity Black Widow tone arm. A modern Shure M97xE cartridge is mounted on the arm. A vintage Sonic Research Sonus Blue Label cartridge is included as a bonus, but is not guaranteed in any way. The turntable includes the original Technics plastic dust cover and the optional strobe light. Mounted on the turntable is an Audio Technica dust sweep for keeping records clean (which I have never used). There is a fiber antistatic mat, probably by Discwasher, that can be used on the rubber platter mat. I have the original carton for the turntable, but some of the foam inserts are missing. I printed a copy of the original owner's manual that I found on the web. I bought this in 2015 from the original owner. I installed the Shure cartridge in place of the original Sonus Blue cartridge. The original owner had still been using the Sonus cartridge, but I thought I heard slight mistracking, which I attributed to likely stylus wear based on the age of the cartridge. I thought the Shure improved the sound, but you will probably want to try the Sonus Blue to decide for yourself, because it is such an audiophile classic.
