After his acquisition, Noble renamed the Kamera Werkstaetten into "Kamera Werkstaetten Charles A. Noble". The Kamera Werkstaetten were nationalized in 1946 under the name "VEB Kamera-Werkstaetten Niedersedlitz, later "VEB Kamera-Werke Niedersedlitz" and were merged into "VEB Kamera- und Kinowerke Dresden" in 1959 which was renamend "VEB Pentacon" in 1964. Never has there been a company named Praktica.
