This is an easy to use high speed strobe module. I installed a BNC connector to make it even easier to use without messing arround with the DB-9 connector. It has a silica quartz flash lamp inside and has internal or remote power level setpoint adjustments. I used one of these for microscopic florescence photography and it does work well for that use with a UV pass filter. These units are well north of a grand even in used, working condition- without the BNC modification. With this modification it is literally plug and play, just give it 110VAC power and a 5V pulse on the BNC to fire. As a bonus, the firing signal is optically isolated from all of the electronics making the device even more user friendly for you gadget builders out there. Priced to sell.
