This auction is for a fine Orient & Flume art glass vase that I purchased as new some years ago in California. Orient & Flume art glass is highly prized by glass collectors and can be found in many fine collections and museums. The company was started in Chico, CA in 1972 and continues to hand craft beautiful art glass and paperweights. The vase is signed "Orient & Flume", "Beyers" and "P0049K54620". The vase was made by renowned O&F glass artisan Scott Beyers. There are calla lilies, blue bell flowers, exotic red bird of paradise flowers and graceful green leaves in the design. The glass that forms the vase is quite thick and clear so the vase appears to be covered with the colored glass work. The vase is in excellent condition and has only been on display in my art glass collection. The vase has not been used to hold water or other materials and there are no stains inside. The glass remains bright and clear with lovely colors of white, blue, green and red in the glass. There is no damage that I can see. There could be small surface scratches on the bottom and the exterior from expected wear.
