Up for auction is a beautiful Dug Civil War Relic Confederate Infantry button with the Rare C. Rowley backmark. This button has a beautiful face with a chocolate brown patina and a solid shank. The button does have some ground action on the back and a moderate push that causes the shank to tilt a few degrees. However, these areas do not detract from the great look of this button. I have been collecting Confederate Infantry buttons for over 20 years and this a variant that is rarely encountered--in fact I have only seen a handful during my years of collecting.
