Rare Aires 35 IIIC Rangefinder Camera 45mm f/1.9 & Leather Case For Repair - $149 - (Halifax, NS)
Serial 801001. This camera is very clean cosmetically. No haze or fungus in the glass components. Clean film compartment. The film advance and timer work but there seems to be a disconnect with the (Seikosha - MXL) shutter. As well, the aperture control ring turns, then some resistance is felt as you approach f/1.9 or f/16 in either direction and then suddenly it stops resisting and spins freely in either direction beyond these numbers. The shutter releases slowly as I advance the film. The focusing ring seems fine. The only other issue that I can find is the the glass from the Bright Frame moves slightly from left to right. And this movement likely caused the marks you see on that front glass. Purchase includes leather field case with an incorporated ASA Dial. The carrying case does have one separated section (outlined in picture 12) but this does not impact when carrying the camera in the closed leather case. This tear could be stitched back together.
