Cragston Mr. Atomic, Osaka Tin Toy Institute Reproduction (Silver, circa 1993) - $379 - (Salem, OR)

1990s reproduction of the 1962 Tomy-Yonezawa Mr. Atomic made in Japan by the Osaka Tin Toy Institute. Mr. Atomic is a battery operated "thinking robot" with "mystery action", standing about 8 1/2" tall. The robot is in near mint condition; all motion, sound, and light actions are working. There is a tiny chip with paint loss on the left foot, which is visible in the photo. Also, there are a few very small scratches on the backside. One of the scratches is visible in the photo that shows the TIN AGE Osaka Tin Toy Institute stamp. The box is in excellent condition, with light shelf wear. Also included is the Tin Age "identity card", which indicates that this robot is number 255 of 1200 makes. There is also a post card that is mostly in Japanese. It's a registration card, which suggests a manufacturing date of no earlier than 1993. I purchased the robot new in the mid 1990s from an online toy dealer. It has been on display in my home since then, but has rarely had batteries installed and turned on. I have posted a recent video of the robot in action on my YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/D9saOrlILx4
