1982 Dean Z - Body for Restoration/Parts - $500 - (Fort Dodge, IA)
Up for sale is a 1982 Dean Z for restoration. The good? The guitar has a straight neck and can be strung up and played. It has a flame maple veneer on the mahogany body and it's a resonant guitar with a nicely worn lacquer finish. The frets are in good shape but could use a dressing. It also has an ebony fingerboard. The bad? It once had a Kahler trem and still has the route. It has no electronics and the headstock was broken vertically along the low E tuners. It's a nice, solid repair, but whoever did the work did a poor job of finishing the face of the headstock and the logo is not correct (appears to be paper under lacquer). However, I do have a replacement vinyl logo, which is included in the sale. I'd intended to restore this one but I'm not going to get around to it, so I'm cutting it loose in the hopes that someone else will take on the project. Please contact me with any questions.
