Vintage Lions Roar Wind Up Lion and Monkey Toy Occupied Japan - $325 - (London, ON)

"Lions Roar" made in Occupied Japan 1947-1952 Celluloid windup toy.  Measures; 4"H x 8"L nose to tail // 5"L nose to bottom x 2.5"W The lion is molded celluloid with a metal spring tail and a celluloid tip. The monkey on the lions back is celluloid and controlled by metal clips. The lion mouth roars while the monkey jumps up and down on the lions back.   The toy works very well.
