Museum quality African Kotoko wedding gown. It is richly embroidered in elaborate geometric designs in red, yellow, green, and blue thread ina white cotton gown. Although commissioned and hand tailored in 1970 in Kousseri, the designs are traditional and were used for centuries by titled women in the kingdos of the Kotoko and Kanuri.
