Up for sale is a pair of Paiste 14" prototype hi hats. 952g over 1154g. These were owned and probably made for the great Dany Gottlieb, I believe the serial # starts with a 1 meaning they were made in 1981. Consecutive serial #s obviously. Based on comparisons between this and my other Paistes I would guess these are made of B8 bronze, just like the 2002 (and a bunch of other) series. These are almost definitely a one of a kind pair, I've never seen other Paistes like these. Great condition! Got them a hot second ago from Steve Maxwell's and while they are awesome, it's not quite the right sound for me. Already taking an $150 hit on the Maxwell's price so no best offer for now.
