Vtg Org Handsomely Embossed Brass Hanging Light Gorgeous Org Acid Etched Shades - $165 - (Bangor, PA)

Here is a wonderful old , early 20th Century, brass hanging fixture with absolutely gorgeous original embossed-acid-etched shades. These spectacular old shades are in flawless condition & display beautifully ! The fixture is all brass in spectacular, close to a century old, original patina. The matching detailing to the parts of this old light are magnificent. The embossing on the ceiling canopy, the actual body of the fixture , the 2 1/4" fitter bell-shape shade holders , the 2 arms of the fixture, & even the finial on the bottom of the fixture is very pronounced, well executed and matching....it is pretty difficult to find a fixture w all the matching details of this hanging fixture. The wiring ( which is the original ) is shot and needs replacement. The old bakelite twister sockets appear to be in excellent condition. The original brass-plated hanging chain links show some wear appropriate for the significant age of the light. With a hanging vertical drop of 50", I picture this hanging in a great old early 20th century home. ( of course this vertical could be lessened by removing chain links) width of fixture w shades fitted ..28"; height to top of loop on fixture w shades fitted 15 1/2". OVERALL, THIS OLD HANGING FIXTURE , WITH ITS SPECTACULAR OLD ETCHED SHADES, SHOWS STRONG VINTAGE CHARACTER, A BRILLIANT DECORATIVE PRESENCE & IT DISPLAYS IMPRESSIVELY !
