DAGUERREOTYPE of a HANDSOME YOUNG GENTLEMAN wearing an Elegant TUX with a BOW TIE & a POCKET WATCH SIXTH-PLATE 1840s TINTED NICELY MATTED & FRAMED and SET INTO a COMPLETE STURDY HINGED LEATHERETTE CASE NOT YOUR USUAL PORTRAIT: This man's face is so expressive & intriguing. He looks like he takes life very seriously & yet he gazes out at us with such compassion. Is a doctor? a lawyer? What do you think? * There is a little blue tarnish at the bottom and left edge of the photograph. This is characteristic of the earliest dags .
