Set of 9 Antique / vintage place card or menu holders. Sterling silver. Made in Siam, today Thailand, first half of 20th century. Measurements: Diameter of base is approx 3.3cm or 1 1/4 inches. Ruler in 'photos is in inches. Individual weights of holders differ - 58.3grams / 60.7grams etc with a total of 526.20 grams. However, since they appear to be weighted, the measurement is not precise. Round bases. They appear to be weighted as they are heavy for their size. Each holder has a figure of a Hindu deity or persona - dancing figures, elephants, a dragon ship and figures in prayer. Beautiful detail. The back of each figure is fitted to hold a card. Marks: each holder has engraved mark: SIAM and STERLING. The name SIAM would only have been used up to the 1930's, when the country became Thailand. Condition: there are a few minor dings/dents commensurate with age. See 'photos. Otherwise, good condition.
