E.F. Dean Flute #1926 - $400 - (Haslett, MI)

In the 1980's and 90's the E.F Dean brand of flutes was highly revered and recommended by private teachers nationwide. The design, manufacturing and distribution of the E.F. Dean flutes was a collaborative effort between Ervin Monroe (at that time an esteemed flautist with the Detroit Symphony) and the E in E.F Dean, Fred Marrich (then owner of Custom Music Distributors in Detroit) and the F in E.F. Dean, and Dean Yang, a very talented flute maker who continues to make flutes under the name Dean but without the E.F. prefix. Fred Marrich passed away several years ago and with his passing so did the marketing and distribution of these fine instruments. All E.F. Dean Flutes then and now have always been of the highest quality and although instruments you are seeing sold in today's market with the E.F. prefix are all NEW OLD STOCK, they are in excellent, like new condition and have each been completely serviced as needed by Meridian Winds Flute Technicians so you can buy with confidence! E. F. Dean flute serial # 1926. Solid sterling head, body, and foot. Offset G. Closed hole. C foot. Has a French case and case cover. See photos. Thanks!
