Superb Nazca Polychrome Bridge Spout Eight Parrots Vessel 400 AD An exceptional quality Nazca double bridge spout vessel with eight elaborately polychrome painted parrots. A very nice, bold and robustly shaped vessel presents the painted parrots with wonderful presence in any display setting. Circa 300-500 AD. High quality detail is present in this fine Nazca example. This parrot vessel is a definite step above most others in quality. CONDITION: is rather excellent for one of these ancient vessels.There is one tiny chip that can easily be seen at the top of one of the spouts. Overall that paint shows some very minor wear and very little loss of paint is clearly evident. The minor age pitting seen has calcification in the almost microscopic pits. SIZE:This vessel is 7.5 inches high and about 6 inches wide at the widest.
