Rare c. 1860s gutta percha black cross necklace with a raised floral design with roses and daisies. May be mourning jewelry. The back of the cross is monogrammed "L.E.G.". Cross measures 2 53/8" x 1 1/2" x 1/4"; chain is 19" long x 3/4" (link length) x 1/8" and the links taper down to 3/8" long. Weighs 1.2 ounces. Condition: Very good condition.
