Chestnut TB Mare - 13 Years - $800 - (New Tripoli, PA)
Dixie is a sound and healthy OTTB, 13 yrs of age. She only raced af few times and zero interest in being a race horse. Her legs are clean and she has never been unsound other than a foot abscess years ago. She is a solid chestnut (just the tiniest star). Barefoot with NICE feet. Nice ground manners. Dixie is a physically sound riding horse; however, she does not do well being ridden in the arena with other horses. We aren't sure why, but we can only speculate that she may have had an accident on the racetrack many years ago that scared her. I have had her in and out of work over the years and even showed her INTRO A and INTRO B with scores in the low 70's. I have also trail ridden her alone at the Bucks County Horse Park. She has been trail ridden in a small group a few times but she needs space. I am offering her as a broodmare or companion as I cannot guarantee she would be suitable as a riding horse due to her fear issues around other horses coming towards her.
