1950s Schuco Elektro Phanomenal 5503 Mercedes Car B/O - $245 - (Clarksville, VA)
Up for sale is a wonderful Schuco 5503 Elektro-Phanomenal Mercedes Benz 190SL Convertible!!!! So pretty!! This is a very popular car made in 1955 by Schuco, a company well known for their excellent quality toys with terrific detail! The condition of this toy is excellent with only a bit of minor wear to the windshield (see photos). This car works with a "C" battery under the hood (battery not included). There is a pull switch on the dash that opens the hood. The dash itself is nicely detailed with lots of dials, etc. Even a mirror! The "gear" shift actually operates the car, so you just move it left or right to go forward or reverse. The steering wheel does steer the front wheels. The box is included. It does have some condition issues as you can see from the photos. But it is mostly there and has nice color. Not included is the steering cable.
