Plastic Playthings Inc. Vintage Banjo Nursery Toy Musical Instrument w/ Box 0010 - $45 - (Little River, SC)

This listing is for a rare vintage toy banjo from Plastic Playthings Inc with the original box. The toy measures about 7 inches in length and fits diagonally in the box, which measures 8 inches long and 4 inches wide. The toy is baby blue with a light pink back and "fret board" and silver bells. There is some wear from age, such as color fading of the toy and box, some warping and cracking of the plastic on the back of the banjo, corrosion of the bells, and a musty smell inside the box, so please view all pictures to get an idea of all the angles. It could perhaps be restored by the right owner, or simply displayed as is in your vintage curio. I have seen other toy instruments from Plastic Playthings Inc. such as a drum and rattle, but this is the first banjo I've come across and it is truly an interesting collector's item for toy seekers.
