The bore of the horn is .456". The bell is 4 3/4" and has a small kranz or bell wreath, which gives the horn improved projection and increases responsiveness. The engraving reads "Henri/ Selmer/ Paris/ Selmer/ Made in France/ R". The stamp on the leadpipe reads "K-Modified/Lightweight/ 20". This horn looks beautiful and plays very well. The valves have very good compression and feel very mechanically sound, with no wiggle from side to side. As for the aesthetic condition of the horn, there are a few small dings as well as some light pitting. All this is visible in the pictures, and none of it affects the playability of the horn. This instrument has been professionally cleaned in our shop and repaired to full playability. This horn is not lacquered; therefore fingerprints should be wiped off after use if the player wishes for the horn to stay as shiny as it is now--if they are not wiped off then the horn will develop a lovely patina.
