HUGE Old Antique Primitive Handcrafted Copper Cauldron Apple Butter Kettle 1851 - $800 - (Pittsfield, IL)

Exquisitely Beautiful Large Apple Butter Kettle. Measures 21" Across The Top. 15" Tall. Convex Bottom. Beautiful Patina. Easily Polished If That's Your Wish. This large kettle was patented and manufactured in 1851. Made by the Ansonia Brass Company. Ansonia became famous as a clock manufacturer. The Ansonia Copper and Brass Co. was founded in 1845 by Anson Greene Phelps on the banks of the Naugatuck River in Connecticut. This antique bailed kettle would have been used in a fireplace or over an open fire. This kettle has a few minor dents and dings. It is in incredible condition for its age. It's certainly in much better condition than most this size you see. Please check out the pictures and you will see what I am talking about.
