From a prominent Eastern Shore collection, comes this pair of VERY RARE AND DESIRABLE tablespoons by Thomas Byrnes, Wilmington, Delaware. Byrnes' career was short in that he was a silversmith in that city only from 1793-1798. Both spoons are in great estate condition. Each have the same beautiful monogram within a bright cut cartouche. They measure approximately 9'' in length. Only noting normal wear/ scratches due to age and use. The tips are in great shape. The birds have a little wear. Additionally, there is a small dent in one of the bowls, possibly occurring when the spoon was made? Both stamped "T. BYRNES" within a conforming rectangle. This is a great opportunity to own a pair of very rare and desirable Wilmington, Delaware tablespoons!
