Pair of matching fiddle pattern Scottish silver forks; Edinburgh hallmarks with corresponding dates of 1849/1869. The first set of three are attributed to George Bell (1849) while the second to the firm of Mackay Cunningham & Co (1869). They have the matching length of 205 mm and each weigh in, on the postage scale, at approximately 65 grams each. The castle and thistle are present denoting their sterling value at the Scottish assay office in Edinburgh, the hallmarks crisp and clear for each set.
