Antique Iroquois Beaded Frame Exceptional - $100 - (Mahnomen, MN)

This is an Iroquois beaded picture frame dated 1910. The beadwork is tight and intact except at the bottom, where there might have been tassels at one time. The background adobe-colored knit fabric has some small holes shown in the pictures. The two rosettes on the bottom of the frame are burgundy and white with a clear bead base and the top rosette is green and white on a clear bead base. There are turquoise and white beads in the feathers on the sides and amber and white decorations leading to the top rosette. There is no glass. It is 10 1/2" high and 7" wide at its widest point.
