Daryl Spencer (Deceased 2017) signature on a scarce 2012 Topps Heritage "Player Sample" baseball card. Topps "Player Sample" Heritage cards, produced in limited numbers, were intended only for the baseball players that were featured in their "Real One Autograph" series for a particular year. This is one of the 2012 "Player Sample" cards that was given to Mr. Spencer by Topps for his personal use. He signed the card in bold blue Sharpie. The difference between the regular Heritage "Real One Autograph" cards is the sample cards are printed with "Player Sample" on the front of card by Topps. Daryl played for the 1952-1957 NY Giants, 1958,1959 San Francisco Giants, 1960,1961 Cardinals, 1961-1963 L.A. Dodgers, 1963 Reds & in Japan for the Hankyu Braves from 1964-1972. In April 1958, Daryl hit the very first regular season major league homerun on the West Coast while playing for the San Francisco Giants. Giants & Dodgers were the first major league teams to have permanent homes on the West Coast after both teams left New York at the end of the 1957 season.
