Victorian Marquetry Book Shelf circa mid to late 1800's - $3,000 - (Charleston, SC)

The marquetry is especially beautiful. It dates from the mid to late 1800's. I bought the book shelf in London in the late 1980's. The top is serpentine shaped with floral marquetry light colored wood inlay and string border in what appears to be rosewood veneer. The are three shelves, canted stiles with acanthus corbel and incised foliate carvving, on a serpentine shape base with shelf.
