VintageTreasures of King Tut Decorative China/23K Gold Collector Plate Set 3 - $180 - (Holland, MI)

Here is a magnificent set of 3 decorative 10-7/8” collector plates commemorating the historic traveling exhibition of Golden Treasures of King Tut in the late ‘70s. The limited edition of these plates was commissioned solely for Diners Club Card members and was purchased by my late husband in 1979. The plates were executed by the world-renowned craftsmen of Pickard China, acknowledged by collectors as the creators of the finest collectible plates in America. In addition to the more than twenty individual ceramic colors painted by hand on each plate, each features the delicate technique of applying minute touches of ceramic color on top of solid 23 karat gold which surrounds each plate. Each individually plate comes housed in an Egyptian-style jeweler’s bag and is accompanied by a detailed and informative booklet describing its historic and artistic significance of the subject. Two of the plates are individually boxed in their original Styrofoam packaging, the third plate is carefully wrapped for shipment.
