It comes with late firmware in the SCM, exciter and wireline The SCM is running R020.14.048 It comes with an EPIC II SCM, (these SCMs have new style ATMEL codeplug chips). it has the desirable 625 watt power supply, Most R2 Quantars will program into the 2 meter ham band and operate within tolerances tuned to factory specs, but because I can evaluate parameters such as Modulation Fidelity and Deviation SYM I can tweak the tuning to optimize it for the actual frequency in use thus insuring the best quality possible. 37 years in the communications field working almost exclusively with Motorola equipment.
