FISHER 500TX STEREO TUNER/AMPFULLY FUNTIONAL with AUTO-SCAN REMOTEANDOWNERS OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS AND SERVICE MANUAL I have tested the AM and FM sections and Phono section. All work fine. I don't have tape deck anymore but I see no reason why that wouldn't work as well. You all know the specs on this unit. Lots of power output. Make sure your speakers are up to it. The 4 pre-sets work perfect . Manual tuning is good. The tune " up " the range slips a bit if you go too fast, but if you go slowly as if " searching for a station" no problems. The Auto-scan remote accessory cable is something you rarely see, and it works !!. Some tarnish on the contacts and a little static on the volume and function switches.But it's over 40 years old. From the "Golden Age" of Stereo Receivers. One of the best you can buy from the period. And this one is in Excellent Condition. I have done my best to accurately describe this unit and picture any shortcomings. As questions It's heavy . 30# I will pack well with plenty of padding on all sides.
