Ultra Rare Lrg. Antique 1850's medium Amethyst Cut Glass Skirted Perfume Bottle - $3,000 - (Luray, VA)

Superb to say the least! Highest quality! After you see this bottle you will never be satisfied with those average bottles you see listed for sale on line. No comparison. I believe this bottle to be English and dates to the 1840's. This bottle came from a collectors estate and it is special! Stands approx 7.5 inches tall and 4.5 inches wide at the base. Heavy weighing 1 lb. 14 oz. Beautifully and artfully cut ...6 panels on bottle and 6 panels on the top. The top is amazing with the tip coming to a sharp point!. It has the most beautiful scalloped skirt 2 scallops to a cut panel... The middle of the bottle has rounded ends and sharp panels. Features a narrow waist and above that a flat cut ring with sharp cut panels. Around the mouth of the bottle is flared and again six panels but rounder and smoother. This bottle is even deeply cut on the bottom.... the bottom features 12 panels in a deep lobbed effect.. This bottle is a medium amethyst color glass....in my opion...there is a shade darker The glass is clean and healthy....no residue! Condition: Excellent with 2 minor things to point out. Things to point out: 1. a shallow chip to underside of skirt with a nick on the edge skirt line at that point. 2. one other small nick on the edge of the skirt. 3. the stopper bottom that goes inside the bottle has 2 very shallow chips or slice on the sides at the end. This bottle is beyond rare. A must have the the serious collector or for the best gift for a special someone. Ultra Rare Lrg.
