Fiction Paperback: STAR SCIENCE FICTION STORIES, edited by Frederik Pohl. A collection of 15 SF short stories by authors such as Asimov, Bradbury, Simak, Leinster, Kornbluth, del Rey, Leiber, more. This book has been reprinted and reissued with a new cover several times but this is the original publication from 1953. Pictures shown are of the actual book. Printed 1953. Published by Ballantine Books, New York. 4 1/4 inches wide by 7 1/4 inches in height. Illustrated cardstock covers (perfect bound) with yellow and white printing on black spine. 197 pages. Condition: Covers show some wear: paper rubbed off both spine edges (about 1/8 in at max), heavy rubbing on the outer edge of the front panel, two creases the full length of the spine, some rubbing on the spine folds and across both panels, one corner creased small, other corners rounded, a very few small creases on both panels. Spine broken at page 184, but no pages missing. Inner pages are tanning, as expected for this type of paper, all pages are supple and tight to the spine. No pages appear to be missing.
